Jill Hemingway
Meet Jill Hemingway our new Art Gallery Manager.
Jill has lived and worked in the High Desert for 23 years. She raised a family, worked as a real estate appraiser and volunteered with High Desert Domestic Violence Program in Victorville, where she assisted children with art therapy.
Art has been her passion since she was a little kid, in love with every color in her crayon box. At the age of 18, she moved to Hawaii and studied at the Honolulu Museum Arts Studio Program, learned life painting and an early printmaking process called lithography. Later she returned to CA and was an art major at Cerritos College. She received an Associates Degree in Art and Construction Technology from Victor Valley College and also attended Azusa Pacific College and studied Business Management.
About ten years ago she studied portrait painting with Ralph Duran, our past Art Gallery Manager. He and Mary Tipton did a great job running the gallery for many years and Jill’s goal is to continue on their path growing and developing The High Desert Center for The Arts - Art Galley.
