A lady recently sent us a check payable to HDCAF for annual dues and for Theater Arts Guild season tickets, not realizing there were two corporate entities involved. No problem, we got it worked out, but realized that many of our patrons may not understand how the Arts Center operates.

The Arts Center books as few as four shows a year. Most theater events are rental engagements by performing arts groups of the area, like the Theater Arts Guild. TAG charges their own membership dues, also offering season tickets for their five annual productions.

Other entities that rent the venue include Encore High School, Shenanigans Youth Theater, (SYT), Creative Arts Theater (CAT), Hannett-Thorn

Productions, High Desert Productions, Excelsior Education Center, Crash Productions, Miss Tanya’s Dance Studio, Dancetime Studios, and Youth Aglow Productions.

Remarkably, we get along quite well. Any disputes or misunderstandings are dealt with in a cooperative spirit and amity. No surprise here.

Love of the arts is known to have a refining effect on individuals.
